CHAPPELLET WINERY The Chappellet family has been crafting world class wines from their Pritchard Hill estate vineyards since 1967. Spurred by the notion that Bacchus loves the hills and that mountain fruit would make superior wine, Chappellet followed the advice of legendary winemaker André Tchelistcheff and settled on the rocky eastern slopes of the Napa Valley. The Chappellets were the first to plant vineyards exclusively on high elevation hillsides and the second winery to be established in the Napa Valley after Prohibition

TITUS VINEYARDS With the 2009 harvest, Titus has completed its 20th vintage. It is a family owned and operated enterprise that dates back to 1969 when the first of what is now 50 acres was acquired by the Titus family in the Saint Helena area of Napa Valley. Now in its second generation of operation, Titus has grown from selling the majority of the estate grown fruit to outside wineries to now retaining all the fruit for the Titus label. The primary focus is in Bordeaux-style bottlings of Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. These wines are liberally blended with Merlot, Malbec and Petite Verdot to give bold, structured California renditions of the traditional Bordeaux wines. The second focus for Titus is the Zinfandel made from the fruit of 35 year old dry-farmed vines. This is a traditional Napa Zinfandel with structure, balance and well accentuated fruit and spice. Titus has remained small in production, preferring to emphasize the site specific attributes of the wines made solely from estate-grown grapes. Our small, wine portfolio also includes artisan Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Sauvignon Blanc and Lot I, our untraditional, heralded blend of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot.
